Amazon Leadership and Operations Insight Day

On Friday 28th April, Amazon partnered up with Milkround to host an Insight Day into their graduate schemes, with a focus on careers in operations.

Over 75 of Milkround’s top candidates were in attendance for this exclusive event, held at the Amazon offices in Holborn. The afternoon started with an introduction into operations from Area Managers David Locke and Federica Basile, followed by an interactive ‘Leadership Principle Game’ aimed to develop students’ understanding of Amazon’s core values.

Students then delved into the importance of soft skills in the workplace, with a workshop hosted by Benedicta Banga from GradStrategy, and the event was concluded with an insightful Q&A session with Amazon’s senior operations team.

The Insight Day was a fantastic opportunity for students to learn more about a career within operations from the experts, find out more about the company culture and gain insight into the daily tasks, training and support.

One student stated “I am really grateful for this opportunity, given Amazon’s role as an innovative and dynamic firm, and it’s rather rare to have opportunities like this appear. Looking forward to more in the future!”
